Gnocchi with Pesto an Bacon

Pasta is a very popular dish around the world and it's believed that today we can enjoy pasta thanks to Marco Polo who brought pasta to Italy from China in 13-th century. Pasta existed before, in Asia many countries had noodles, Marco Polo just gave it a name and this is how pasta was born and how it became an Italian dish. Pasta is made from unleavened dough consisting of ground durum wheat and water or eggs. Nowadays you can find a variety of pasta and there are many ways you can cook them, so I suggest a tasty recipe that you might really like.

  • 150 g gnocchi
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 3 tbsp pesto
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 40 g parmesan
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 gloves of garlic


  • Put a pot of water to boil, add some salt and add the pasta when water starts boiling.
  • While the pasta is boiling, we take care of the sauce. In a hot pan, fry the bacon slices until crispy. Remove the bacon slices and let them cool.
  • Cut the garlic and fry it in the same pan in which yoy fried the bacon. After the garlic has acquired a golden color, add the pesto and the tomatoes cut in half and the bacon cut and leave on the fire for 2 minutes on low heat.
  • Add the pasta over the sauce with 3 tablespoons of water in which they boiled and let everything boil for about 3 minutes on low heat. Add grated parmesan over the pasta.
