
Croquet monsieur
Croquet monsieur is a hot sandwich made with ham and cheese. The dish has its origins in France and it was served ar cafes and bars as a snack. The sandwich is made with baked ham and sliced cheese, all these between two slices of bread, dipped and beaten egg with grated cheese on top and baked, grilled or friend in a pan.
Ingredients
- 4 slices bread
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices ham
- 2 roasted peppers
- spinach leafs
- 2 tsp Greek yoghurt
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp butter
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Grease the first slice of bread with butter, then add a slice of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of ham, a roasted pepper, spinach and then another slice of cheedar cheese.
- Mix the yogurt, egg yolk, a slice or 2 of cheedar cheese cut into pieces, salt and pepper. Pass the sandwiches through this mixture on both sides.
- Add to the oven at 180 ° for 15 minutes. Serve hot.
